Do you have a Demo? They are usually looking for someone who can entertain with their voice. Did you work at the radio station at your school? You need some how to reach the community, set up some local podcast site, be an angry caller on a talk show.

If you can sell, most radio stations are looking for sales reps. It doesn't cost them to support a commission based rep. All you gotta do is send your resume to the account manager.

Public radio stations often list openings at CPB.org Many radio stations do not have employees, they are automated satellite operations. Typically stations will have a website, if they have openings they will usually post them there. You will probably need more than 1 shot, be prepared to move to where the jobs are located.
