Differentiate: X^(2/3) + Y (2/3)=0?

You have to specify which variable

For d/dx:

(2/3) x ^ (1/3) = 0

For d/dy:

(2/3) y ^ (1/3) = 0

If you're doing partials, then you keep the X or Y term for the variable that you're not differentiating.
