bio-diesel is used as a replacement for diesel fuel, can only be used in a diesel type engine.
ethanol is used with or a replacement for gasoline, can only be used in a gasoline type engine.

bio-dieasel is made from substances such as vegetable oil and stuff of the like where as ethanol is simply made from corn. o and by the way, good old fashioned off road diesel has alot more power ; )

Biodiesel is usually made from purified soybean oil and sometime left over oils from deep fryers. Using the new soybean oil is the best way to go because of the better lubrication.
Ethanol is usually made of fermented corn mash. Ethanol can lower your gas milage if it is not of good quaility.

bio diesel is diesel made from like soybeans and stuff.
Ethanol is gasoline made from corn. hope that helps

BIO DIESEL IS WASTE OILS VEGETABLE ETC. MY COMPANY I DRIVE FOR DOESN'T LET US USE BIO-DIESEL HAS CREATED PROBLEMS WITH OUR TRUCKS.
ETHANOL IS ALCOHOL NOT GASOLINE--DERIVED FROM CORN MAINLY--RETURNS LESS MILEAGE BUT BETTER EMISSIONS.
