You don't have to install it if you don't want to.

There are loads of different programs that you can use. I prefer using Windows Media Player 11, but I also have Helium Media Manager. If you don't want to spend any money on it get Media Player. Helium you'll need an activation code and iTunes you'll have to buy some songs.

iTunes and Media Player are about the same quality but Media Player is easier to use.

This is only my opinion so the decision is still up to you.

Hope this helps.

if you're on a pc, you don't need itunes. you can simply play music through real player or through window's media player. both are already installed on your pc. itunes main feature is that it is directly linked to the itunes store, so anything you download automatically gets put into your music library. i use itunes on my mac, and i use windows media player on my pc. both are perfectly fine options.

if you do have an ipod, you won't be able to load songs from your pc onto your ipod without itunes installed.

oh, and if you are wondering, it's free to download and install itunes onto your computer.

limewire is popular for issues and is prohibited (as is "pirating" track) i-Tunes is popular to be secure and virus loose, in spite of the undeniable fact that it expenses as you're legally procuring the track. CD's in my opinion are nonetheless between the terrific procedures as you could rip the track in any bitrate, its criminal and you have a actual decrease back-up or you could sell them afterwards. in case you do no longer recommendations illegality then "torrents" paintings nicely for track. they only connect with different shoppers and share the information.
