im multi racial and dont like either.
Me personally id vote for a black person or a woman.
ive got an even better idea:
A BLACK WOMAN!
But its where they stand on the issues is what concerns me. Hillary Clinton says shes a christian in her little biographies, but has never publically said it.
Barack has only served 2 YEARS in the senate!
I dont know about you but im a little nervous making him the most powerful man on earth.
But yeah Americas ready, we already have a black Secy of State, and a Latino Attorney General.
But me I stand where ive always stand, on the issues, not on race.
Good question i gave you a star!!!!

I know nothing about Barock Obama so I cant really comment on him. i dont think Hilary Clinton would make a good president at all. Besides her gender I think people would feel she would be just like her husband. I don't think America is ready for a minority president. and if Hilary did win I think people would just be voting for her because she is a woman not because she is the best candidate.

When John F. Kennedy ran they said America wasn't ready for a Catholic President. I think the American voter has become sophisticated enough to consider where the candidates stand on issues rather than their gender or race. I believe either Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton could win and whichever one gets the Democratic nomination will win.

Obama is too young. He's being premature.
My favorite race in '08 would be Hillary and Condi. That would rock.
Yes, I think America could handle a minority president, but I don't think it's going to happen in '08 unless both parties put up minorities. The races are typically too close to give up the vote from the bigotted minority.

Hi -
I have no doubt in my mind that there could be a minority president, but, the problem lies within the people not trusting that president.
I would think that within the first year or two of a minority, or female president, they would get assassinated.
People think that a black president will do all these amazing things for black people. And it's probably true. If you have ever seen the wellfare line in the ghetto's, people line up and wait there until it opens, get their money, then go buy crack and weed.
This country was formed on the basis of capitalism, but yet we have integrated forms of communism, and socialism. It's sickening. I don't think we are ready for a minority president. Especially when there are still elements of racism, and we haven't "truely" come together as humans.
Maybe in 100 years we will.

I certainly hope in this day and age that America will accept a minority for president. I am watching both Clinton and Obama, as they are my two favorites. I need to hear more from both candidates, on the issues, to make my decision, however. They are my favorites, and I would like to see one of them win. I really hope that there enough intelligent Americans to look past race and gender now.

It may be too soon. For certain the only way either will win is if the majority of the voters are well under 50. This is a generation problem. The younger the voter the more likely they will look past the minority status.

Yes, both of them have amazing potential. I'm not sure about America's stereotypes though. oh yeah and tradition. We've always had a white man for presidant. I'm sure they'll both get lots of votes though. I'd want either of them to win! I bet most Americans know how powerful both Barak and Hillary are.

HA! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Hillary Rodham Clinton -- PRESIDENT?!?!! Heck, half of the registered voters in her own party won't vote for her. The phrase "snowball's chance in Hell" comes to mind. Now, on the other hand, Obama has a chance if they don't keep harping on the fact that he doesn't have much experience. Actually, you know who I'd REALLY like to see run for President? COLIN POWELL. He would be a shoo-in if he decided to run.

i dont think either of them can win, but i don't think race will be the reason. i see obama as similar to edwards in 04. he gets a lot of publicity, but he isn't ready for the big time yet. clinton is a very polarizing figure and cannot beat a moderate candidate like mccain or guiliani
