So many people didn't even get close....by far the biggest rivalry in England is Tottenham v Arsenal...nothing else even comes close!!

Liverpool and Man Utd is a big rivalry...but most Liverpool or Utd fans would cheer the other club on if they were the only English team left playing in Europe!! and the same goes for most other teams...whereas Spurs fans would never cheer Arsenal under any circumstances(unless Arsenal had to win to allow us to win something!).last year when Arsenal reached the champions league final, the best selling item of sports clothing in London for weeks before the final was Barcelona shirts(being bought by Spurs fans!),at Spurs' last home game before the final,1,000's of Spurs fans were wearing Barca shirts and waving Barca flags!!

this rivalry isn't just about being a local derby...it stems back to the turn of the last century when Spurs & Arsenal were both non-league teams still(Spurs had already won the FA cup as a non-league team-the only club ever to do so!!),Spurs were a bigger club and they qualified to be elected to the football league and the league decided to give the place to Arsenal(even though they hadn't qualified!),so Spurs fans have hated Arsenal ever since...also alot of Arsehole fans don't like Spurs because they are a jewish owned club! and some people are racist!!

it doesn't take much to dislike Arsenal though...the clue is in the first 4 letters of their name...their managers name even spells the same!!

the biggest rivalry in Britain is Glasgow Rangers and Glasgow Celtic, which is even bigger than Spurs/Arsenal and has a lot to do with religion as rangers are a protestant club and celtic are catholic!!

The biggest and craziest football rivalry, probably biggest rivalry in all of sports, is between the two greatest Argentinian teams, River Plate and Boca Juniors. Its crazy. I would also say that Inter Milan vs. AC Milan is a bigger rivalry.

El Superclasico

River Plate vs. Boca Juniors

If you think we have some serious rivalries in the UK or even Europe, check out one of these games. There are practically always riots after the games. It doesn't help that even the police get involved. The fans usually p*ss on eachother from the tops of the stands as well. Nice, huh?

Partisan V Red Star Belgrade is usually quite tasty, as is Galatasaray V Fernabace, River Plate V Boca Juniors, Spartak V Dynamo Moscow. Might not be world class games but these teams HATE each other.

It's not really much of a rivalry, since Liverpool is so vastly superior a squad.....
