engine implants are a nightmare, and you seem to be on a mission impossible. i suggest you just buy a gti. its going to be costly and is going to take time. not to mention you have to change ALL your paper work. not worth it.

Peugeot 206 Gti Engine

Yes you can. You'd need the gearbox and driveshatfs, brakes and suspension too. It really is not worth it.

Apart from the amount of work involved, you'd need an engineers report before anyone would even consider insuring it, and the insurance for such a heavily modded car would be astronomical. I've been down that road on more than one occasion, and it can get quite painful!

There would be a high cost in terms of labour too - unless you can do it yourself. Even with me fitting the engine and box etc for free, a mate spent £4500 putting a 16-valve engine in a MK1 Golf GTi!

Yes, but it will be a lot of work and hassle.
You'll have to change the engine, transmission, engine mounts, instrument cluster, ECU, engine-bay wiring harness, springs & dampers, brakes, wheels and tyres, etc. to cope with the additional power, torque, weight, or just to match up correctly.

Its only worth doing engine transplants if what you want isn't available already (e.g. a 206 GTi engine in a van body). Otherwise it is easier and cheaper (both to buy and to insure) to trade in your 1.1 for a GTi.

You could do it, but like other people have said, it's a big job, and you would have to change all the transmission and running gear, not to mention the clocks (speedo, tacho, etc;)
It really is'nt worth it, unless you are re-shelling a write-off.
Just weld a dustbin on the end of your exhaust, like all the other boy-racers do, and it might sound a bit faster.
Probably.
