Unlike most people I know, I wear my wedding ring on top of my engagement ring. I do this for two reasons. 1. I was wearing my engagement ring when I was saying my vows and my husband put the band on top. That's how I got it so that's how it's staying. 2. My engagement ring is too big and the wedding band keeps it on my finger.

In front, as soon as my wedding was over I took off my engagement ring and placed my wedding ring closest to my hand then put my engagement ring on the outside. That way it is the closest to my heart. Also if I loose one, I would rather loose my engagement than my wedding.

I think it'd be in front: closest to the fingertip; sometimes I wear my 3-stone band in front of that, still, sandwiching the engagement ring between two bands, if that makes sense.

If I had one, the wedding band would be in the position closest to my heart. If I get an engagement ring it will go on my finger in second position.

The wedding band should be closest to your heart. So wedding band goes on first, then engagement ring.
It didn't make sense to me at first considering my engagement ring was much more expensive than my wedding ring... but that's how it goes.

on the front you take it off to have the wedding ring put on your finger then you put the engagement ring back on..the idea is the wedding ring is closest to your heart.

just wear wedding ring now,was sick of catching things on my engagement ring,only wear it when going out now.
