OOOH, I love answering these types of questions, because I get to share with you my favorite word! You're not evil, you're experiencing a form of "Schadenfreude", a perfectly human response, roughly meaning, the derivation of pleasure from another person's misfortune. Think of seeing some @hole cut you off in traffic, then a mile down the road, you see the same guy pulled over by a cop, getting a ticket! It's not a terribly malicious thing, in and of itself, but you can't help but smile, when you drive by, now can you?! ;-)

Kind of.... You only want your ex to suffer because you still love him. I had a similar problem but I wasn't showing the love to my boo... So we parted our separate ways until we could both figure out what we wanted from our relationship... It's still work in progress but we go back together now. If the feelings aren't mutual it's not going to work...
