Your friends got CDs? Enable disc use on the ipod and transfer files from friends to build your library. Also try utorrent, they have stuff fro download that will play. Of course I am not encouraging copyright violation.

Webjay caught on to those of us that had downloaded for free. So my best opition for you is purches. Or borrow CD's and burn them to your computer which will automatically put it in to iTunes and be put on your ipod

If you go to download.com and search for the type of progarm you wasnt it should have some good choices.
