I believe the NL West will be very tight this year and the Giants will only be up there if they get the best from their pitchers and this is from a life long Giants fan and baseball afficionado. I say Giants will be about 5 games better then the dodgers this year.
Funny how Josh McCain (recent poster) doesnt realize that Schmidt was seen as a modest pitcher last year by the dodgers and now that they have him he creates the best 1,2 in baseball?? What is up with that?

You're kidding right? The Dodgers are soooo much better than the Giants. There is no way the Giants will have a 20 game lead, much less win the NL West division.

Whatever you have been smoking get me some. It will be the Dodgers 10 games ahead of the Giants. I don't even know if the Dodgers will win the division but the Giants will be 10 games back of the Dodgers regardless. The Giants share the honor with Baltimore and Washington as having the worst front office in baseball. That's pretty bad when you keep Bonds instead of using money to improve your team

Dodgers are so much better than the giants this year and the dodgers will be at least 10 games. They have probably the best 1,2, and possibly three pitchers in the national league. The Giants might have Zito but from what Ive been hearing hes changed his delivery a bit and its going to make him less effective. They also might have, dare I say, Barry Bonds but Im not even getting into that mess.

this may well be a extensive win for the Giants. Lincecum of course did no longer have his solid stuff and the Giants definitely ought to of given up after being down so early. besides the undeniable fact that some human beings might think of that the Don Mattingly pass grow to be nit choosy, in actual fact he broke the guidelines (MLB rules&Regs 8.06D). I admire the Dodgers. in spite of the undeniable fact that, it wasn't a clever pass for Kershaw to hit Rowland because of fact it led to no longer in basic terms him to be ejected, yet at once Joe Torre have been given the boot too! If Kershaw did no longer do the retaliation, then the completed Don Matttingly's incident might of been thoroughly prevented. as nicely, i'm no longer too particular if Lincecum purposely hit Kemp. Lincecum did no longer have command in any respect the completed recreation. Did you notice that pitch to Casey Blake the place it went promptly up interior the air and did no longer even make it to abode plate? supply Giants supervisor Bruce Bochy credit. the guy is familiar with his baseball. maximum persons did no longer comprehend the guideline e book (consisting of abode-plate umpire). additionally supply credit to all the umps for gathering collectively and discussing it. they ought to try this in particular and not do on the spot replay. great recreation and an extremely remarkable win for the Giants. assume a heated conflict the next day with a great tournament up between Billingsley and Zito.

Well i'd say judging from the results last year from both teams, i would have to say -10, at least. Yes, that's a negative sign. :) ........PS: i think ur probably either a coke-head, or ur just in denial that the Giants would be lucky to make a run for the NL wildcard.
