The Friend of the Court should have that information or Department of Human Services. Do you have legal guardianship of the child? If so you can order a new number for him by going with all his paperwork you have and the guardianship papers to Social Security office and they will get his number and a card for you. You have the right to this information as you will need it many times over to get any help with his care.

You need to talk to your grandchild's parents. They should have it if not then they need to fill out the paperwork to get one or get a replacement card issued.

IF you are taking care of the child 24/7 then you might want to talk to a lawyer about getting custody.

regardless of in case you weren't accompanied and he or she went to courtroom for grandparents rights, the courts are actually not that keen on going against the mummy and dad desires. once you're accompanied neither you or your baby have any bonds left including your organic and organic relatives so she has no rights.

I can't see why you would need it anyway. If it is so important then get it from the court that granted the divorce or custody papers.
