Good answers so far. However on the incest, that happened to a friend of mine (raped by her dad) and the baby came out grossly disfigured and was missing a lung. So.........??

yes because it wasnt the females fault and if she has the baby she is going to look at it and see the person that hurt her which is going to make it harder for her to love the child but on the other hand if the female is stupid and has sex and accidently gets pregnet then abortion should NOT be an option!

That is the only time I agree with abortion. It isn't her fault that some a**hole man couldn't keep his d**k in his pants!!

I don't agree with abortion when it comes to using it because the pregnancy was an "accident" or used as birth control. If that's the case then have the baby and give it up for adoption.

Then you will have the pro-lifers state that the raped women should do the same thing. The difference to me is this, the whole time the raped woman is pregnant she is constantly reminded of how she got that way. Not fair to her.

A female should be allowed to choose. It's her body, her choice, not some bureaucrat in Washington. However, it's also his and her responsibility to take precautions to not fall pregnant in the first place. The male is just as responsible as the female. There are enough unwanted pregnancies as it is, who the taxpayer ends up paying for.

After rape and incest, of course she should be permitted to an abortion, and then cut the perpetrator's jewels off.

Yes by any means. You should contact your doctor to talk about it and explain the circumstances of why. It would have been easier to get the morning after pill if it was rape or incest and it was reported right after it happened. Good Luck hope everything works out for you.

Not even then. It’s never acceptable to kill an innocent human being. Would you kill a one-year-old because her father was a rapist? If not, why is the child in the womb fair game? Is she less worthy of life than the rest of us because of the circumstances of her conception? Should children be punished with violent death for the crime of their fathers?

Furthermore, abortion only increases the grief and trauma of a woman who has been raped. Abortion does not erase the fact of the rape, but only causes the mother to become the aggressor, hurting another innocent victim the way she was hurt. Rape is bad; murder is worse. The knowledge of what she has done to her child will haunt her long after she has healed from the rape. Studies have shown that the majority of women who abort a child conceived in rape regret it, while none of the mothers who choose to give birth do (see links below).

In the case of incest, abortion allows the molester to cover up the evidence of his crimes and continue his abuse. It is often the molester who pushes for abortion.

I agree with JCMC about the morning after pill. That should be done, before anything else is taken into consideration such as abortion. There's not much reason for that girl to have an abortion if she could just take that pill unless it didn't work.

Abortion is never an acceptable way out. It won't erase the pain and hurt. Killing an innocent baby will just make the guilt worse. If you chose adoption, you will be able to give the gift of life and that is one thing good that will come out of a horrible situation.
