It depends actually. the plan isnt the only thing. there are diffrent kind of technoloies cell phones use. In europe the technolgy used there is called GSM. we have a few herer that use that technology. the only one i can think of is cingular. Here the norm is CDMA which is used by sprint and Verizon wireless. there are areas south of the US that CDMA can be used. But i think CDMA is more of a US thing an GSM is used more widely. You could also rent a phone from Globle phone an use that temporarly on your trip. your best bet is to call your provider to see if there technology is in South korea... I hope this helped ;)

It will work if it is a quad band phone and the country that you are going to has the same type service that you are on in the states, ie: GSM, TDMA,CDMA ect. Also, you can lower your international long distance by contacting your provider and signing up for an international LD plan. Hope this helps.

It would work, but only with an international plan & plus, there are other fees to go with it also, like minute usage, etc. It would be best to call up your provider and ask them, since every place is different. - It might be best to get some phone cards to use with local lines there and keep your cell on international so people can call you if they really need to.

yes BUT u might get charged for international calling. i did that with my LG Chocolate with verizon and they charged me a $49.99 fee and, since i had a contract they took 2 minutes per one minute. and guess what, i was only in CANADA!! i really wanted the lg chocolate phone so i switched from nextel to verizon. the fone waz not to good and service was sukky. i switched back 2 nextel and they consider USA, and Canada are not international from where i live (northern Maine).
