how can i make it work normal? and my pounds sign key writes # instead of a pound?

i have already set it to UK English but it didnt make any difference, can it because i had to reinstall windows XP? how can i still change the keys to write something else?

1. Open Control Panel
2. Double click on Regional and Language Options
3. Click on the Languages Tab at the top
4. Click on the Details button
5. Select your own country and language from drop down menu
5. Click the Add button and select the keyboard language
6. Click Apply

That should sort it.

that means your computer is set in the US format.set it to uk
