Something you have worn before and are completely comfortable in!

Dont dress to over the top - you dont want to look like you have made too much of an effort.

It depends upon your physical appearance. Are you skinny? Are you fat? Are you pretty? Are you plain? How tall are you?
Many different factors to consider, but I'll go on the assumption that you are a young woman, not too skinny and not too plump.
Wear something black and sexy, if that's how you feel about the guy. Black is classic and always looks good. Hose, of course, but not too dark. A single bracelet and a necklace. Earrings, of course; nothing dangling, though. Panties and a bra are required, but try not to wear something that shows an obvious panty line; that's a turn-off. High heels, but not too high. Make sure you take a shower before dressing and brush your teeth. If you smoke, don't during the date. Carry a purse that you can hold in your hand; leave the one with the shoulder strap at home.
Smile, a lot. And have a nice time.

i created an outfit.. i like the moschino lil black dress with the kenneth cole or any kind of black peep-toe heels, with that rusty gold colord purse and the bracelets! I might get it for myslef... looove the dress... you can never go wrong with black plus its a naturally slimming color and i wear most of the time when i go out to eat !;) Also its casual but the shoes and purse dress it up!:) Good luck!

You can't go wrong with the classic little black or red dress, with a nice pair of pumps. Try sling backs.

One i liked and think is good for a dinner in a good french restaurant is this.

this one too, living out the sun glasses and uisng higher heels

Finally this one i soloved but without the sunglasses as well and with a more formal purse-even if i like this one is this

As for the one i saw when opening the site called hepburn's style i'd leave the hat out and use a nice formal manto over or a faux fur jacket /coat.
One i made just for you and wish you like it:
