I have been wanting to get a tatoo of an oriental dragon of course in color for the last couple of years. I always do my research on the most reputable artist in my town and I have seen his work and very comfortalbe and confident with his work. My question is would it be ideal to get it on the top of my foot and wrapped around my ankle.

Sounds really cool. Two friends of mine have tattoos on the tops of their feet and they said that it hurts like hell. BUT if you can stand the pain, I say GO FOR IT! sounds like it will be really cool and you've put quite a bit of thought in to it.

My sister is a Tattoo artist and has been for about 20 years she has done both of mine. She has told me that the worst place to get a tat is on the top of your foot. The colors in Tattoos don't usually last forver anyways and will need to be redone after a few years but with a colored tat on the top of the foot the colors will fade faster because of shoes and socks. And not only that the top of the foot is the most painful place to get a tat because you have no flesh in the foot. the bes place to get a tattoo thats close to the foot is on the ankle and around your shin. And as for a design make sure it's your own cuz its gonna be there forever make sure its of something that you will love forever.

Make sure they do feet tattoos. Some don't because they say they rub off too easy because of shoes and socks. Personally, I love feet tats- I have stars all over the top of my foot and even on my big toe. I think tats look awesome on feet and say go for it!
