The Yankees have the best lineup in the history of baseball and they have an overall better pitching staff then the sox. The Yanks have the best closer in baseball and the sox have NO closer. I also don't know why Paige B says the sox are a better team then the Yanks cuz they won a world series 3 years ago. Is he living in the past??The Yankees are WAY better.

Those r the only numbers that matter. Yankees r 3x better than the Sox will ever be. It's not just the WS championships, but the legacy. All of the great players they gave to the world.
Sox do not have a good pitching staff, and the Yankee's lineup is 100x better than the Red Sucks lineup.

This question really depends on how you judge teams. The Red Sox have awesome pitching. The Yankees have awesome hitting. Me personally I would take the Red Sox rotation any day over the Yankees hitting.

Red Sox have great pitching, Yankees have great hitting. Both are good teams, but pitching wins championships. I'm not saying the Red Sox are going to win it all. I'm just saying that great pitching beats great hitting.

right now and historically, the Yankees take precedence by far. A quote from the movie 'Catch Me If You Can" in response to being asked why the Yanks always win the World Series: "It's cause the other teams can't stop staring at those damn pinstripes."
