I'm going to see The Who on thursday. How good are they live? Has anyone seen them recently and can comment?

i saw them in september. i wasnt alive in their glory days but my dad said that they were better years before (live). they also played a lot of new stuff i didnt recognize and saved pinball wizard till the very end.

I'm seeing them next Monday in Chicago. I look forward to a good show from some aging rockers. These guys have been playing for years (and it's killed two of them), and they can put on a really good show. I'm hoping for the best.
Your date has The Tragically Hip as the opening band, as mine does. Pay attention.. The Hip is a great, relatively unknown band in the US. (They're Canadian). They, unlike the Who are in their prime. They rock. Hope you enjoy them

they're not as good as they were in the 70's but they weren't that bad

They are great, they have done PINBALL WIZARD from TOMMY THE OPERA.
