Well you wouldn't be the first and you won't be the last. Quite common for tutors to go out with students and this happen. It's not like being a teacher with under age pupil. However before you do anything you may regret try finding out if this student feels the same way about you. Often the tutor is not much older than the student. However if you are yonks older I would definitely tread carefully.

I had a relationship with a tutor when I was at uni. She was not a lecturer but a coach who did contract work at the college. Personally it can be hard for tutors, I know that I was just discovering my sexuality and was flirting with her a lot. It was not long before we got together and I had my first real lesb ian sex. However, I soon began to feel that she was more turned on by sleeping with a young 20 something (she was about 30-35) than really interested in me. She could be quite forceful at times, and I was clearly being used as her little sex thing!

Wow, this is hard. How old are you? And how old is the student? You are a university tutor only? Not a professor? I guess, if you are at the same age or so, and you are doing tutoring on the side, then I wouldnt see a problem but I will keep it down though. Nothing to exciet the campus. Good luck!

I tutored in high school and univerisity chemistry for years. Most of the students were girls. I never did anything inappropriate. Sure, a few of them were cute, but I never did anything. And none of them did anything inappropriate either.

I think I am lucky - I am not the kind of guy women go nuts over.

Stop the tutoring or the relationship. Keep the one most important and stop the one least important.

well if the student is of age it's really none of their business. now I would recommend not acting on anything until that student was out of your class, because some might suspect favoritism. After that semester though, go for it. you are both adults.
