Unless your uterus has been removed there is no guaranteed day or time during your cycle that you cannot get pregnant. Pregnancy can happen anytime during your cycle. It has been known to happen even during periods.
The best way it to be sure to wear a condom every time no matter what. Unless you are intent on getting pregnant, USE A CONDOM! Some men will tell you that "it's ok baby, I know when to pull out" Don't believe them. Always insist on a condom.
There are times during your cycle that you have lowered chances of getting pregnant, but again you should never go without a condom. The lowered times are right after your period, within that first week. Anytime after that the chances just get higher.
The closer you are to your period the more hormonal you become, which means sometimes more horny. Your body wants to become pregnant, that's the natural way of things. It wants to make babies. So when the lining is the thickest and the egg has been released, your body is going nuts wanting to have sex to become pregnant.
The condom isn't a sure-fire way for protection, but it is one of the best things, coupled with the pill, to keep you from getting pregnant.

I have no idea how old you are, but really, I think you are anxiety ridden and a bit in the dark. What is there not to "get?" The only true way to avoid becoming pregnant is by total abstinence. The Pill is very effective if taken correctly, but yes, there is a failure rate (very low). And DON'T, repeat DON'T rely on the Rhythm Method. I don't care how your cycle goes (35-38 days, or whatever), ovulation is a tricky thing to predict even with a test that tells you when you are ovulating. The Rhythm Method is probably the LEAST reliable form of birth control there is!

If you are concerned about having sex, I recommend using the pill. If you are consistent in use, your chances of pregnancy are extremely low. My wife used the pill for 6 years without becoming pregnant before we started having children.
As I stated before, you must be consistent. Take one pill everyday at the same time. Best bet is right after you get up in the morning, or just before going to bed. Most failures on the pill are due to inconsistency. If you do miss a day, it won't hurt to take two the following day. If you miss more days than that, you may want to re-start your cycle. That is to say, no sex until after your next period.
To answer your question when in your menstrual cycle you are least likely to get pregnant, that would be in the first week to 10 days after your period, before you start ovulating again.

Honestly there isn't any specific day a woman can not get pregnant during her cycle - the chance is always there. If you are concerned - choose a birth control product (ie: Nuvaring, pills, etc.) that you can manage & always use a condom as well. Then you have two bases covered and your pregnancy chances drop dramatically. There is no 100% effective way to not get pregnant without birth control.

The counting days thing doesn't work. No one's cycle is the same, and like someone stated before, sperm can live in your body for up to 72 hours. The pill is effective to a point, but there are dangers to it, as well as any other hormonal birth control...believe me, I know. I almost died last winter because of pulmonary embolysms (clots in my lungs) caused by the pill. Condoms are also effective to a point. They can also break...
Our daughter is due in 19 days because my husband and I thought "what the heck, just this once we'll be okay." Yeah, the guessing thing doesn't work, lol.

There is NEVER a time where you are 100% guaranteed not to get pregnant. You sound young. If you do choose to have sex, which I hope you don't, ALWAYS use a condom AND another form of birth control to be safe. Condoms are only 77% effective in preventing pregnancy. 77% may seem like good odds but consider that means TWENTY THREE OUT OF EVERY ONE HUNDRED girls who have sex using only condoms WILL get pregnant. Scary isn't it? If you can't accept the responsibility of pregnancy, don't have sex. If you just can't help yourself, get EVERY form of birth control on the market and use them all at once every time you do it.

Well.... I'm with everyone else saying dont have sex, but why dont you get on birth control, use a condom, and use spermicied strips or foam. That way you're using three types of protection and if you still end up getting pregnant then I'm sorry you were just ment to be pregnant. Good luck

99% mean that 1 time out of 100... not 1000. And that's only if it's used correctly, which it often isn't.
You don't get pregnant by getting ona form of birth control that works for you... use condoms to stop the spread of STDs. It is possible to get pregnant at any point throughout your cycle... there are no such thing as "safe days".

Of course abstinence - but talk to your MD and see what options are best for you and your lifestyle - combine your choice of b.c. with your partners (condoms etc) and you will have a pretty good chance of not getting pregnant - no guarantee - but as good as it can get. Two forms are better than none - example the pill works pretty good but combine that with a condom and a spermicide and you have three barriers - only super sperm could survive that.
