They can all have different degrees and result in a different category. Here is one of looking at it:
Embezzlement - Misdemeanor or Felony
Vandalism - Misdemeanor or felony
Robbery - Misdemeanor or felony (usually felony)
Stealing - Could be all three
Arson - Felony
You can search legal sites and get the different degreess of each one.

embezzlement probably a felony
vandalism depends on the amount of damage but most of the time probably a misdemeanor
Robbery depends on amount stolen. misdemeanor unless over 500 dollars then it is a felony also whould depend on how it was carried out. If a weapon was used then it could be a felony right off the bat.
Stealing same as Robbery most probably.
Arson Felony
a petty offense is probably tresspassing and other stuff like that where nothing was taken and nothing was harmed but something happened.
I'm really not sure on all of these but it seems comman sense looking at the words and knowing what they mean. But I do have a Sister and Brother in law that work for the police force and I ask what things are sometimes.

Embezzlement is not a charge, thats would be a larceny, and depending on the amount, it could be a misdemeanor or a felony,
Vandalism is another that depends on dollar values, misdemeanor or a felony,
Robbery is always a felony
Stealing is not the crime, its another larceny, that would depend on the dollar value, misdemeanor or felony,
Arson, is a misdemeanor or a felony, depending on several factors, including dollar value, what it was that was burned, etc.

Embezzlement, robbery and arson are all felonies. For vandalism and stealing, they are misdemeanors or felonies according to the amount of damage done.

In CA:
Embezzlement- a wobbler (can be charged as a misdemeanor or felony depending on the circumstances)
Vandalism- a wobbler
Robbery- a serious felony (also qualifies as a first strike under the Three Strikes Law)
Theft- a wobbler (depends on monetary amount and prior convictions, if any)
Arson- a serious felony (first strike)
in addition, ANY FELONY obtained after the first strike is also a strike. 3 strikes= 25 years to life

Embezzlement is a Felony hands down.....Vandalism depends on what and how much damage was done. Robbery is the same. Stealing's is the same. Arson is also the same...It just depends on the extent of the crime.
