Bank in NYC that sells cashier's checks to non-customers?

I have already tried Chase, Commerce, Bank of America, and Sovereign. I am a customer at Commerce and Bank of America but they insist on depositing the funds in my account first which I don't want to do. I need a cashier's check for about $5000 I don't care about the fee. Grateful if anyone knows of a bank.

Try the Post Office.

Get money orders instead! They will all sell them
