Answer 1 - Keep her out of burning houses. Answer 2 - Grab her by the neck and tell her that she will get doggie cancer if she doesn't stop smoking. Tell her how her canines will turn yellow, how her fur will lose it's body. Tell her how her eyes will fade and her claws will become brittle. Explain how it won't look cool when she is hanging on the street corner, taking a draw off a Marlboro when some hot stud comes by to hike his leg on nearby fire hydrant. Tell her how trying to hold a cigarette will be hard because, if she manages to hold it in only one paw, she will become a 3 legged dog and if she must grasp the cigarette between 2 she will become a 2 legged dog. 2 and 3 legged dogs can't catch cats as well and are more vulnerable to preditors. Smoking dogs get damaged lungs. They can't chase the garbage men or postal workers as well, chasing cars is simply out of the question. How is she going to afford all the cigarettes? She will have to trade her doggie treats for cigarettes and it will mean no more snacks. Tell her that if she becomes pregnant while in heat and still smoking, she may only conceive 3 pups instead of 4 and they could have a much lower birth weight. If all of this fails, take her to the local vet or animal hospital and let her listen to other dogs explain how they wish they had listened to their owners about the health risks of smoking.

Show him pictures of other dogs who have smoked for years. Once he sees the wrinkles smoking causes, he will have the will to stop.

Funny, it's usually my cat that smokes, the weed. But, if your dog smokes, I'd suggest Nickorte gum.

Cold turkey! Tie him to a tree in the backyard so the neighborhood kids won't see him and give him smokes.
