I could list 100 or more individual financial burdons of foreign nature taken on by our government that I believe the people's say has no authority. (and it should) Most of these donations/gifts, what ever they are called, were not approved by the people of the United States or they were approved by government and kept from the people. Most of these giving programs have no date set for them to end!

I think the United States Government would have more than enough money for SSI, Medical Insurance and many other programs to help the american people if some or all of the foreign giving programs were stopped.

I would like to see someone in the white house, either presidential or otherwise that would come up with a way to allow the people to decide if they wanted to continue to fund thes countries or not. Someone has got to hear this and make it a priority on their list of things that would help the people of the United States.

Help me out here.

You need to change your language. The government doesn't have money. It is yours.

The only way to correct spending is to take the money out of the hands of the government. 99% of federal spending is a waste. That goes for foriegn or domestic spending.

So, what happens when those people given a say on foreign aid decide they should also have a say in domestic spending? Foreign aid serves a purpose in terms of foreign relations. The American people have little say on the specific expenditures of the Federal Government, with their voice being those they elected. In many cases those people are influenced by other outside forces who don't have the best interests of out elected representative's constituency in mind.

That's funny. Your leading questions ask what are our biggest government expenditures, and why do we still have them.....then you speak of cutting other programs to fund them!! SSI and Medical Assistance ARE the biggest expenditures, and you're a glowing example of why we still have them.
