"Zap" The Royals didn't appear in their first World Series until 1980. The photo of Freddie Patek crying in the dugout, was from a playoff loss to the Yankees.

My personal favorite example was the Yankees' Andy Pettite who actually burst into tears on the mound (just as he was about to get pulled) in the playoffs against the Indians... At least the other guys made to the locker room or dugout before crying...

I have heard of one of the ball retrievers that sit in the chair down the left and right field line started crying because he accidentally picked up a fair ball.
