I'm about to buy a new PC that has an option to have a ATSC-NTSC TV tuner with PVR, FM tuner. I'm burning lots of DVDs and wondering how hard it would be to record the movies & shows from TV (satellite) or video camera onto DVDs through the tuner, i mean:
- do I need extra parts/equipment
- is it just straight burning onto DVD or it will require some conversion
- how much quality will I loose in the process
Please answer with as much details to my questions as possible
Thank you

You likely will not be burning to DVD on the fly - there is a lot of overhead involved in this. You would record the program with the PVR software, convert to DVD format then burn. Quality depends upon your incoming feed - most feeds are highly compressed, especially when comparing to DVD quality, so a recorded movie will not have nearly the same level of quality as a purchased or rented DVD of the same title.
