If you liked a boy called it, try one of the Torey Haydn books, like 'One Child'
My fave book, difficult question....Louis de Berniere's 'Captain Correlli's Mandolin' ( the film did NOT do it justice) ; John Irving's 'Hotel New Hampshire'; or Jose Sarambago's 'On Blindness'

A Prayer for Owen Meany by John Irving. Until I read that, my two favorite books were Angels & Demons by Dan Brown and Wicked by Gregory MacGuire.

There are, - I am certain, - those, out there, who have heard, absolutely, NOTHING, whatsoever, - about my personal favourite book! It's called "THE NINJA", and, it was written, by a man, called ERIC VAN LUSTBADER! I was so ENTHRALLED, by the use of DESRIPTION, - of THOUGHTS, as WELL as FEELINGS, - something, that was SO WELL DONE, that, almost, from the FIRST page, - I actually, believed, that I was IN the situation, that the book described!
