Are you talking about Oscar night? I find that whatever the award show, many actresses really can't pick a good gown. Too many go over the top, like Bjork's famous "Swan Draped Around the Neck" gown a few years back. And Gwyneth Paltrow finally showed up in a gown that made her look fantastic, at this year's Oscars. Other years, she looked like a pale excuse dressing up as a 9! I don't know, maybe they just have too much money, that they lose perspective. Or have so much given to them, that they accept anything and just wear it. Or perhaps, they are just like the rest of us. Do we look great every time we step out the door? They're human too. We expect them to be pinnacles over and above everyone else and they're just like you or me. There are the always spectacular few. Nicole Kidman is ever fantastic. Sharon Stone, Halle Berry, Jada Pinkett-Smith, Diane Keaton, Penelope Cruz, and surprisingly, Joan Rivers even has great taste! Whatever they are, it's all fun!

OOOhhhh yeah, for instance, Jenifer Hudson. WTF was she thinking. I know that if I traveled down the same path she did, I would have gone with a dress way better that what she did. And as for Nicole Kidman, the dress would have been great without the bow, it made her lool like a starving cat. Just like last year when Charlize Theron wore the green dress with the big bow. It would have been stunning, but the bow ruined it.

I think some of them are quite beautiful, particuarly the one worn this year by Jennifer Lopez.

last night many of them did!! it seems like stars are just trying to be showy with their money, because like u know they're from huge designers and everything... but like if they were pretty, i would understand.. but the dresses they had made it look like they didn't care what it looked like, and probably spent about $1,000 on it. haha sorry i can't really explain, but yes.. i thought everyone's dress wasn't anything special, and some were just plain UGLY!!

not all but most of them yes they did... I did like Reese's and Helen Mirren's gowns they suited them... the rest ie: jennifer hudson..., jLo, Cameron....
