from what u read in the news r senior citizens sapping resources away from children? after all children don't have an army of lobbyists up the hill.

You should rethink your question. There are plenty of childrens resources available from the Feds, maybe you should look to state and local governments handling and distribution of Federal funds before going on a tangent about old folks. I seriously doubt money is being funneled away from children and into the old folks pockets.


P.S. it doesnt take that long to actually spell "you" and "are".

Senior citizens do need to be represented, but you are absolutely right, children get the short end of the political stick. Children, of all the groups in this country, should have an army of lobbyists.

The elderly paid for what they are getting in the form of taxes, social security, and retirement funds etc. What is sapping away the resources is bad government planning and greed. Consider this; do you want grandma and pa to starve and go without basic health care? We pay for SSI and are taxed to death against our will then put out when we are too old to work and too young to die. Is there a solution? Kill the elderly? Fix SS? Outlaw greed? Also consider that the big $$$ has shifted the majority of production to countries that can work cheeper than we can in the US.

You must realize that the senior citizens were once children. I believe what is taking the resouces away from children is the government. You can blame who you wish, but you need to be honest about the blame. Thank you.
