Since youre a mobile nail tech, i would (if you havent already) get a car magnet ... theyre very eye catching !!
Also, throw some ads in your local penny saver type papers, and leave your business cards anywhere you go !
Daycares, ATM machines, laundry mats, malls - so on !
Go into a business, such as a tanning place, and see if theyd let you leave a pile of your cards there ...
goodluck!

Hi. I would get some postcards made up to send out to addresses, you really don't even need a mailing list for this...just the phone book.
You could also put up flyers in college dorms and elsewhere on campuses. Check with the local Chamber of Commerce as well, they often put together welcome packets for those new to the community and ask that local business owners offer coupons or discounted services so that newcomers will feel more comfortable using new services.
Try vistaprint.com for a great site to order free postcards, business cards, etc. They come in a variety of themes (beauty business included) and cost little to nothing and usually only postage and handling.
Good luck! :)

STOP all advertising that isn't working! don't waste your money if you know things you are doing now just aren't working.
I would suggest that you try thinking outside the box a little.. see the website of Chris Cardell, a marketing genius, http://www.cardellmedia.co.uk/ and sign up for his free newsletter for some great tips and motivational advice.
i'd also suggest networking, ie find out what other things your customers do/buy , like having their hair done, then network with other business to promote your business or give offers to customers of hairdressers in your town etc, swap leaflets or business cards with these sorts of businesses.

I am also a mobile beauty therapist & what I found worked wonders was a freebie! I wrote to local schools & charities offering 1 free treatment certificates for them to use when they are having fund raisers, tombolas etc. They give free advertising by mentioning you in their news letters & from every free treatment I have given, I have had back many more clients by word of mouth.

You could find a mobile hairdresser and get together with them or just ask them to mention you to their clients - try advertising in wedding shops - everyone wants to look perfect on their big day - also try approaching student associations and asking them to put your cards in with graduation ball invites - if you get work from that then you may get returning clients and recommendations from them
