What are the implications? I'm an Indian national but I have heard stories about police harassment. Any advise?

Your question is not clear. In what sense can the police harass you? Unless you want to get married for purposes other than what marriage ismeant for. Theobib

Where are you talking about moving to? I'm an American married to an Indian national. He has never been harassed by the police or anyone else for being Indian. There are millions of foreigners, including Indians, so no one really cares where he is from. In larger cities in the US, you can't buy gas or go to the doctor without seeing an Indian! LOL
