there's several estimator's online which you can fill in your project and find out how much it will cost... carpeting for 3 rooms would be based on what grade of carpeting and tear out etc.. same w/toilets... I'd say $2,000 but that's relatively inexpensive... most sellers are hard to get the price down unless they're hot to sell. but on the flip side - since the market's slow in most areas you may be at an advantage.. here's one site..http://www.improvenet.com/Partners/PartnerFS.html?FS=1&src=MSNHAMKT_KEST&DST=_KEST

You don't sound like a do-it-yourself-er, so I would estimate the 2 toilets would cost you about $400-$500 to have changed. If you were to pick a good quality carpet, say a shag, would cost you in the neighborhood of $3000.

I put some cheap carpet in my house - one more room than you plus a hallway and it was $2700. If you get something nice, without the added room, it may come about the same price.

Depending on the type of carpet these three rooms may cost $2000 to $3000. Remove and replace two toilets, including the cost of the toilets, should be under $1000.

Are you going to replace the toilets yourself or have a plumber do it? If you do it then it will just be the price of the toilet that you can buy at Home Depot. That should cost you less than $200.00 Home Depot and Lowe's also do carpet replacement and have several grades. Go ask them for an estimate.

If you do 'love the house' you should go ahead and make your offer ... and then you can 'save up the money' to make your improvements after you 'move in' ... if the 'carpets' and 'toilets' are 'bad' in the house, they should have been 'replaced' by the 'previous owner' and not by you ... if they're just 'old and tacky looking' then the house should 'cost less' than one with 'brand new' carpeting and toilets.

you can get a standard toilet for $40 at Lowe's or home depot and the carpet really depend on what grade you get can cost anywhere from 300 and up just depends. best of luck to you on your new purchase.
