I thought Ellen was great!
Long, as usual, but I thought they added two great features:
The "sound effects" choir was excellent (don't remember their name).
And the dancers that "rolled into different movie symbol trade marks" were also quite clever!
Anyone else disappointed for Eddie Murphy? He should have won for best sup. actor for Dream Girls. I mean, come on - he sang, danced and acted - what more could he do?

In the wake of 911....I thought the Oscars were done quite well. Not as elaborate as Oscars for the past, but I really enjoyed Ellen DeGeneres as host. I was a lil petrified as to what she was going to do for the AA's but I was impressed for keeping things a riot but with simplicity. I also enjoyed the fact that this years oscars was very international and that the movie types were so wide in variety, for many of the categories no one was sure who could come out on top. Yes it is true that rightfully Eddie should've won for Best Supporting Actor for Dreamgirls, but hey Jennifer Hudson took the best supporting actress and who da thunk Forrest Whitaker would take the BEST ACTOR for Oscar??!....it was cool.

it extremely is because of fact he grow to be already in final years memorial phase. yet i individually think of they ought to have positioned him in this 12 months too. i admire heath ledger:) And am I the only man or woman who thinks he and his action picture the dark knight have been robbed from awards on the oscars. I propose like, it could have atleast been nominated for suited image.

I loved it. Ellen is sooo funny. But the speeches could have been shortened. A LOT!!! I can't wait until next year.

some of it was alright, the montages dragged on forever. That was annoying. Sienfeld was actually funny for once.
