There's more problems in your marriage, than just an increase in your insurance premiums! Way MORE!!

I think the important question here is why he's doing things behind your back. Come right out and ask him. If he can't tell you what's going on, you've got real problems. You two should be a team.
As far as the car insurance goes, if you drive any vehicle at any time you must be insured. So unless your are driving, don't waste the money on insurance.
Get to the bottom of the $$ issues. Since you're a stay at home mom, how does he expect you to pay for insurance? Wouldn't it just be coming out of community $$?

Wow... /hug

First off, it sounds like he is trying to use money to weild the control in this relationship. Ok, so you're a stay at home mom, which is a HUGE job, but you don't get paid very well for it -- where is he suggesting that you get this unlimited supply of money to pay him for car insurance. If his insurance went up, than tough titties, he's the provider, he will provide that as well. As for him starting up a BUSINESS behind your back, it's obvious that he does not view you as an equal participant in this marriage. You have my sympathies. It appears that he wants to control the money, and if he makes money off his business, he doesn't want you to know about it. /hug

My advice: Depending on what your resources, you should look into being able to support yourself. Whether this means going back to school, one class at a time, try to find a way to increase your own wealth and betterment.

If you are a stay at home mom then he should be paying for the bills. I would question what he is doing if he is asking you to pay for the insurance while he is sneaking behind your back starting a business. He certainly is not acting like a married man.

Good luck!

No. How can you pay him back if you are a stay ay home mom?
I have a bad feeling about this guy. Men don't hide their plans from their wives. The wives are the ones who encourage their husband's first!! Be ready for anything and figure out where to go when it's over. You wanted the truth, didn't you? Good Luck!!

Okay. Even if you don't drive, why would he want you, the stayathome mom who is taking care of his kids, to pay for the INSURANCE? Does he want you to find the tree that money grows on? Because if so, good luck! As for the computer thing, maybe he just doesn't want you to know just in case it doesn't work out. Or maybe he wants to keep the extra income. It would probably be best if you would sit down with your husband and air it all out. Communicate with each other! Good luck.

And no, don't start thinking you are lazy. There are tons of stayathome's. You made a choice when you decided to stay home.

If he wants you to stary paying and you cannot afford the insurance since you do not drive anyways then tell him to take you off the insurance. Ask him why he is starting this business behind your back.

wow, you're stuck between a rock and a hard place. Sounds like he's having financial troubles and could really use your help.
As for the computer business, he might be trying to make this his answer to getting out of financial troubles. He may not want to tell you about it yet just so he can see how it goes in fear that you might shoot it down.

It shouldn't have gone up much, if you don't have an extra vehicle on that policy, I would go online and look at the policy, you can probably llok it up by his social security number. I would watch what's going on with this computer business, just keep an eye on it for right now. Wait until you have all the datails about it before you mention it to him.
