I think yes....and I'm gonna tell you a story why.....
When I was a kid, a load of us had been paddling and swimming in the local stream/ford......later that afternoon I was crying to my Mum "Muuuuu-uuuu-uuum!! I've got ants in my ears!! I can hear them eating my brain!!".....
My mum answers "Oh don't be silly!!" and would have none of it!....I continued to complain but got no response from Mum (she thought I was being a silly kid!.....but I could "hear" this really loud sorta STOMPING noise in my ears!! I was convinced ants were eating my brain!! lol)
Well anyway...it was driving me nuts so I started poking a bit of tissue in my ear.....when I pulled it out, there on the tissue were 2 LIVE ants running around!!!!
You shoulda heard me yell then!!! "MUUUUUUUUUM!! LOOK!! I TOLD YOUU!!"...she believed me then and helped me get the others out the other ear!
They musta got in there from the swimming in the stream!
My poor Mum.....I have never let her forget that day! haha....she always ends up on a guilt trip when I tell her "them ants coulda eaten my brain!!" haha
(the "stomping" noise was probably just them in there moving about......it was horrible tho! ha)
(added edit one day later.....why has someone given me a thumbs down??? whats bad about my telling a true event??? duh!! some people!!)

well i guess they can...coz an ant'z body is so light it will automatically float...now the q iz if they are smart enough to keep their tiny headz over the water
