If it was not for him, the gay looking shove that he did to Ron Artest, the PAcers would have won the championships and defeated the Billups facing proud hiphop looking Detroit shoving banger team. Wallace has pride thats why he shoved Artest, maybe he looked like a softee when Artest can foul him softly and WAllace comes tumbling down. Wallace didn't get the punishment he deserved compared to Artest who just got fouled and muggled by the Detroit fans who have no class like Wallace, just alot of Pride fighting Street Banging Looks

He is the most over-rated player in the league. Lets compare him to Alonzo Mourning, a bench player.

Ben Wallace: 6.3 ppg, 10.5 rpg, 2.2 bpg
Alonzo Mourning: 9.3 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 2.6 bpg

Ok, so Big Ben gets more rebounds, but 'Zo out scores him and gets more blocks than he does. Big Ben should be embarassed, he is getting out scored by a bench player and is getting less blocks than a bench player. Ben Wallace should give 3/4 of all the money he has made to the teams he played for. David Lee has better stats than Ben Wallace does, and he's only in his second year.

Chicago definitely stole Ben Wallace. Chicago had the offense before the trade but they lacked a shutdown bigman. Ben Wallace was the perfect player for the job. He creates a huge force down low against opposing teams and gives Chicago one of the best defensive and rebounding players in the NBA.

I think that Chicago got exactly what they signed up for. I good rebounder/defender. He will have some nights that he scores but is usually a liability on offense. That does not change the fact that they overpaid for an average player. He is having a down year, but with Detroit he was inconsistent at times as well.
His stats are inline with his career stats:

Big Ben is still a good player but he won't accomplish nearly as much as he did in Detroit.

He's over-rated, over-paid and over-reported... Even that's more words than he deserves.
