The wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are reaching the 1 trillion total over 5 years. If the government proposed to spend 1 trillion dollars over 5 years on any other project or service it would never be able to pass it. Why is the public so more willing to fund war than peace?

Because the US never managed to switch from a war-time to a peace-time economy since the end of World War II.
Cold War -> Korea -> Vietnam -> Latin America & Carribean -> Middle East (Israel, tacit support -> Afghanistan -> Iraq x2) -> Bosnia/Serbia/Kosovo -> Iran? -> North Korea?.... it just keeps rolling and rolling. And all the time its about forcefully opening markets, securing resource rich territories and maintaining one-way neoliberal policy that sees people in Asia working for a dollar per day, so that the US (and the EU) can maintain their excessive consumption habits.

Because of the Trillions. What would America sell and to whom. What does America produce that another Country would buy for more than they can get from a China for instance. The strength of the dollar and the weakness of the yen or the gap between the two is great. We can't even sell to Americans. Americans support war but not their own workers and the unions that represent them. Pornagraphy is Americas # 1 Export. Exploitation of others and their differences is what keeps thje money going 'round. If war stoppped,The Economy would not survive very long.Who's guilty of this and who supports these politicians?

There will never be peace no matter how much we want it. But we do give money for peace the United Nations it just doesn'tr help and is a waste of money. Other Countries always seem to forget all the good that a country has done for them.

war leads to peace...there is usually a calm of 5-10 years before something big happens again, and we must go back into some type of operation or war.
