To start with your on-line presence, a blog would be a good option. As you are looking for interested clients, you can have your free blog where you can showcase your work/ projects [may be with screen-shots and contents!] and later you can book your own domain if you find a client[s].

if you know about web designing, do it yourself, but if you can't, you must order to a web designer (like me :d)!
