There r way too many "if's" to really give a flat yes or no answer...IF the person is of sound mind and it's what they want then yes,it should be their choice, but only if they are suffering and there is no way of helping them...for people who r just wanting to give up and don't want to live or feel they have nothing left to live for,yet they r not suffering terribly bad then no i don't think it's right because they could get better then find meaning in their lives and live a long happy life...or if the person is not really in their right mind,if they don't know 100 percent whats going on then no,not OK!

This is a very complexed question because we have to deduce the true term and meaning when we state "In their right mind". What is being in their right mind? And, if we can't come to that same conclusion as a society then only the patient would be able to know. Not the family or friends because agendas sometimes cloud the situation. However, I do know that when an Lion is old and is no longer able to travel with the tribe of other lions, it is most certainly that the old lion will be kicked to curb and die on their own. That the nature of things. The person whom is truly in their right mind and is aware and sane should be the only one to make that decision. Society has yet to even determine what "average" really means much less " In their right mind".

It's definately right.

Only if you've lived with someone suffering from an incurable disease can you appreciate how right it is. Those last few days of dignity certainly mean a lot, for the ill person and the family involved.

Only if the patient is able to give consent fully aware of what they are doing. An individual should have the freedom to end his/her life, if it is unbearable to them for any reason. Even suicide could be treated as self-euthanasia perhaps. You can only stop a person from killing themselves if they actually desire to live. If not, they will raise their hand upon themselves eventually.

It's not a question of if it's right or wrong. People need to understand that their personal life and soul is just that, theirs! If a person wants to commit suicide or hasten his/her death, that is no concern to you or anybody else. You cannot feel anyone else's pain expect your own, this applies physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our souls and bodies are a gift to us that ONLY we, the individual, have control over. So to answer your question; If a consenting individual wants to end his/her life for whatever personal reason, it's their decision. No one else can decide this not even human laws. It is the right of man to do as he/she wishes with his/her body.

It is right. Some people suffer too much and cannot wait to leave this world. Who are we to say NO to them? Who can guarantee you will not be in these shoes sometime in the future?
I say YES.

I believe it should be the individual's right to choose, as with everything else connected to one's body.

I think people should have that choice, as long as they are mentally capable to make that decision.

I think killing is wrong, but it really isn't my decision.

I think we all know people for whom it should be made compulsory.
