It would be 1 state, all for one and one for all socialism at its best, and nothing getting done anywhere because they would all be waiting for the other guy to do it, so they can get their share of his work!

Liberals and Socialists are not really related! I don't think that in a certain country you can "inflict" major changes from a day to another. In a democracy things take time! Names some times are much more impressive than the "actual" deference in accomplishing things.
