All the casket-like things called ossuaries are empty. I wonder what the archeologists were thinking when they found an ossuary with Jesus’s name on it. I can imagine the moment they removed the lid and looked in. If it were me, I’d wonder if I was going to see one of the following:
1. Nothing
2. Decomposed stuff
3. Jesus sitting up and saying, “What in Dad’s name took you so long?”
If you put an ordinary guy in an ossuary for 2,000 years, he’d clearly be dead. But if I were opening that ossuary I’d be wondering if maybe someone put Jesus in there after he died but before he arose. And maybe it’s hard to get out once you get in. I’d be worried that Jesus arose inside the stone box, and he’d be totally pissed that no one let him out until now.
I realize that this would not be the most rational worry in the world. But I like to base my worries on an expected value calculation. So for example, a 90% chance of getting a sliver would worry me about the same as a .000001% chance of a nuclear bomb going off in the backyard. In this ossuary example, I’d be looking at maybe a 2% chance of waking up an angry Jesus. I say that’s worth a worry.
If Jesus was in there, and sat up when I took the lid off, I’d first try to judge how angry he looked. If he had that money-changers-in-the-temple look, I’d go with a joke, like “Ha ha! Turn the other cheek!” Or maybe I’d try to explain to him that the extra suffering was extra good for humanity, and after all, that’s his job. Then I’d say, “Hey, I don’t like my job either, but you don’t see me complaining all the time.”
I know that some of you will say that if Jesus could move that big rock that was allegedly in front of his tomb in the traditional telling of his life, he’d have no trouble removing an ossuary lid. But he wasn’t supposed to be in an ossuary in the first place, so obviously if this ossuary is genuine, some of the details of the story were wrong. And if God let Jesus be crucified, it’s not a huge stretch of the imagination to think he’d let him stay in a stone box for 2,000 years. It makes sense to save your coolest miracle for when it’s needed most. And I think you’ll agree that this would be a good time for a messiah. And if you were God, you’d want James Cameron attached to this production. So it makes sense to me.
That’s why I’d be a crappy archeologist. I’d be afraid to open anything.

It's interesting to me because I read Sylvia Browne's book that talks about how Jesus didn't die on the cross. I don't believe everything I read and that includes the Bible. I go," okay, so I don't know everything. What if it's true? Anyway the resurrection had to do with a spirit body rising to heavan and you don't need a physical body for that. Or else, he was a physical person who only appeared to die and be resurrected. " Jesus' child could have been raised out of the realm of the Bible writers so that the authorities didn't try to finish him off. It was better for Jesus to let the authorities think that he died and let it just be a rumor that he was alive.
I wish people could adjust their thinking to the possibility that things might not be the way they always thought they were so that Jesus could still serve a purpose in their lives and maybe consider that we can all be like Jesus and go from the material into the transendental the way he did. Speculation is like a fantasy trip where you don't actually have to leave your bed to go there or be awake. Then you can wake up and go,"Or else, it was just someone's dream and the Bible had it right after all".
It's especially exciting for me because I don't want to feel like I'm owned like a slave. Jesus is supposed to have released me. As a Christian,I know I'm not supposed to live just for myself but I have felt very controlled. If we can change the story about what really happened with Jesus, the world can just cling to the message and not so much the messanger.

I really wonder how some people take such things that serious forgetting that facing these claims there are thousands scientific evidences support Jesus death and resurrection.
Besides what about those scholars that have been searching for two thousand years and in such a documentary one comes with an unclear physical evidence to claim these are the bones of Jesus and family. For those who think they are that smart being unbelievers the least of them searched and asked and read the holy bible. It’s so easy to disbelieve and Christianity always gave space for those who want to search even if they contradict its basic believe. While other’s like Jews and Muslims wouldn’t let anybody discuss their beliefs. In addition a Canadian Israeli Jacobovici ready to do anything to destroy Christian believers join hands with another (Masonic level 33) james cameron to direct and produce this money making documentary.
Moreover do you think that the disciples of Jesus Christ and the 1st century Christians who struggled from persecution and harassment and most of them were killed either crucified or thrown to the beasts only for the sake of a false un-resurrected messiah?!!

An honest look at history reveals James Cameron is once again selling a work of fiction, not searching for truth:
First of all, Jesus and Joseph were two of the top ten male names in that era, and Mary was the most common female name.
Second, finding the name Matthew in the tomb discredits it as a familt tomb for Jesus, since Matthew was a disciple, not a member of the family.
Third, despite everyone's eagerness to believe that Jesus was married to Mary, this is completely historically inaccurate. Yes, it made a man rich selling books and movies, but it is completely untrue, and I would challenge anyone to provide contrary REAL evidence to the historical accounts we already have.
Fourth, this also means that having a son, Judah, futher disqualifies this Jesus as THE Jesus.
Fifth, if Jesus' body was still in the Jerusalem tomb, there would never have been an idea of the ressurection. They would have stepped in and said "Look, it's still here!" Jesus' family was Galilean, so his body would have been buried in Galilee if it was a family tomb.
Sixth, if it was a cover-up and Jesus' disciples hid his body, would they really label it so someone could find it? Yeah, right. "Here is Jesus who we claimed rose from the dead."
Seventh, we know from history that 10 of the 11 remaining disciples (excluding Judas) preached that Jesus rose from they dead and were willing to die for this conviction. People die for what they believe to be true, not what they know to be a lie. If they faked the ressurection, they would not have all given their lives for this message.
Eighth, we know that the Jewish authorities who had Christ crucified knew something exceptional happened. The Roman gaurd would normally have been executed for failing in their duties to gaurd Jesus body, but there is no historical account of this happening. It reaks of a cover-up.
Ninth, if you study the Old Testament, you will find that Jesus Christ fulfilled over 300 propehcies in his life and death. These are not Natrodaumus style prophecies that are vague and moldable mind you, but clear, specific predictions. One of the most profound prophecies is found in the book od Daniel. The Messiah coming and redeeming his people was predicted to the exact year of Jesus' death- his death for the sins of both Jews and Gentiles.
Tenth, lives have been transformed by the words of Jesus. People have experienced freedom from sin and even healing through Jesus Christ. This is not the work of a mad man who claimed to be God. The accuracy of the Bible is continually challenged, and continually, historically verifiable facts end up proving its truth.

Cameron is using statistics not science to prove it. The ossaries may or may not have the name of Jesus on them. So, it is not even confirmed the name appears although Cameron claims it does. And he of course is more knowledgeable on Ancient Aramaic than those who have spent all their lives studying it. Jesus was a very common name and the name found is more likely to be Hanun instead of Jesus anyway.
And we come to his claims he has proved it 'statistically'. Statistics prove whatever you want them to prove, so that is not very convincing. And he talks about using DNA to prove it. What was his control sample? He obviously has a secret sample of Jesus' DNA squirreled away somewhere!!!!

Jesus was a common name back then. This really proves nothing either way about the biblical story or Jesus Christ. Sounds like a whole lot of hype and interesting, but really, it doesn't matter.

The entire Jesus debate will rage as long as there are two people left on earth!
So what are the FACTS here?
We know a man named Jesus Christ was born in Israel to a woman named Mary and a father named Joseph.
We know he spent some of his childhood with his family, and then disappeared. Some say he ran away from home with a caravan of men who traveled to the Far East. Where it is believed by many, that he learned medical treatments from the Chinese who have been practicing medicine for over 5000 years. Suddenly and without explanation, Jesus returns in his early thirties, to preach, heal and then be turned over to the Romans by the Jews, who tortured and crucified him.
During his short life, Jesus was accredited with the following miracles:
1.Water into Wine.
The story tells of a wedding where Jesus was supposedly a guest. During the wedding, someone came to Mary his mother and said “we have run out of wine, what shall we do”.
This is a RED FLAG!
You have to first understand Jewish culture which to this day remains unchanged.
For a person to approach someone’s mother at a wedding to ask about wine, it would have to have been the mother of either the bride or the groom!
The wedding was in fact that of Jesus to his wife Mary Magdeleine. A fact covered by the Roman Catholic Church to separate Jesus from other men. At his age he would HAVE to be married. I do not doubt this for a moment!
The miracle was wine concentrate (perfected by the Chinese many years earlier) which in cube form can be placed into water (as we can do today) turing it into wine.
2.Raising of Lazarus from the dead.
Jesus was visiting friends and went to the house of Lazarus, who was ill. Jesus gave him some sedative to allow his body to relax and heal.
About 2 days out on his journey back home, he is chased after by friends of the Lazarus family to inform him that his friend has died. Jesus tells them clearly that he is NOT dead, but they insist on his returning. Once back at the Lazarus home, Jesus shakes him and he awakens.
The man was NOT dead. He was in a very deep medicated sleep for 3 days, which allowed his body to recover. Please keep the 3 days in your head!
3.The feeding of the 5000.
Jesus was gathering quite a following and his “fans” walked with him all over the region to listen to him speak and to perform other smaller miracles.
One day, the crowd grew restless and his disciples asked if he could stop, so that they could eat.
When Jesus heard that there was no too much food, he asked those in his immediate vicinity to give him their food so he could bless and share it among them.
With five loaves and two fish, the miracle was how he broke the food down into smaller pieces, which was mimicked by everyone else who watched.
People traveled by foot or if they were wealthy, by donkey or camel. None of his followers “rode” any animal, so it was common practice for people to carry small amounts of food on their person bread, dried meat, dried fish, dried fruit etc) because they never knew if they could make it back home and would have to sleep by the roadside overnight, before continuing their journey the following day.
The miracle was that everyone shared what little they had and it turned into a party!
Imagine if you only had a small piece of dried fish and a chunk of bread, a small jug of water and a sliver of goat cheese. The person next to you has a piece of dried meat, a small flask of wine and some cake. Imagine the feast you would have if everyone shared just a “taste” of what they carried? Now that’s a miracle to people who were very poor, very un-educated and searching desperately for the “meaning of life”. These poor people were watching their loved ones die every day, from diseases we go to the pharmacy for an over the counter medication or a quick trip to the dentist! The average age a man lived to back in those days was 35!
So, we are now in the Garden of Gethsemane just outside Jerusalem. Jesus has gathered his disciples around him for the last time as he knows that he is about to be taken prisoner. He asks them to “watch” what he does, but they fall asleep (how convenient AGAIN for the Roman Catholic Church who “edited” the original transcripts).
What Jesus did was take the same medication that he gave Lazarus. This would numb his senses and allow for the torture he was given to be taken without exposing his body to the terrible pain that would kill the likes of you and me, even today!
The medication which slows the body down to the point of minimal heartbeat is still in use today in many forms.
Jesus was tortured and crucified. His “dead” body was removed from the site and placed into a tomb.
3 days later he awoke!!!! Remember my reference to the medication for Lazarus?
Mary (his wife) was outside the tomb, noticed the tomb was open she went inside and found Jesus sitting up. His wounds were clearly visible, but the medication had slowed down his metabolism to the point where even his blood flow would be reduced to the minimum.
After his “resurrection” Jesus and his wife and daughter moved away from Israel.
Many believe he came to live in Europe before dying of old age.
The tomb they found is not that of this Jesus, but it makes for good TV during the winter!
I am not sure if you feel the same way about Christianity as I do, but this belief, supported by the Greek Coptic Church and the writings of the Black Testament from which this information comes, strengthened my personal beliefs, makes Jesus “real” and tells the story of a man who helped many during his life and gave hope to thousands of us, who need to believe that there is “something” out there after we pass on….
