Because as you get older your lips get smaller an lipstick plumps them out nicer ,lip gloss you can't see that much but looks great on younger person as their lips are still plump an young..

younger women wear lipgloss 20's and old women should wear lipgloss about over 40 years old and at 40's they should wear regular lipstick.

yeah, its definitely a generation thing. lip gloss has more of a shine and sometimes flavor, so its more aimed toward the younger people, while lipstick just gets the job done if your going out to dinner or something and want to look nice, but not go overboard, which is probably why the older people use it.

It's not actually like that alot of the time.Ok, old women prefer lipstick (generational thing, like someone else said), but young women use both, just for different occasions.

Cooltyger's right, I'm 14 and I use both (although lipstick is more for special occasions!).
Lipstick is definately not a thing of the past, however bright red is- that stuff drives me insane!

because lipgloss is very shiny and glittery so it suits teenagers, whereas older women prefer colour and class so they tend to go for lipsticks.

nicely its no longer possibly a colour--yet being as i'm no longer enormous on lipstick colorings that are very ambitious and my lips tend to get dry/chapped truthfully. i began out utilising Softlips...i chanced on after utilising that for a pair days it moisturizes your lips and it make the organic colour of your lips stand out plenty extra. yet while your searching for a stable tinted gloss attempt Neutrogena or Clinique--they have great glosses that final for hours and function an spf to guard your lips from those nasty UV rays!
