Your best protection for firewall is zone alarm. For anti-virus use avg and for spyware use ad-aware. These free programs especially with zone alarm and avg are pretty good programs. None of the free programs i've found so far don't really do that great of a job. except for ad-aware of course. If your after free stuff these are the best if your after better protection you should consider norton or one of the many other ones out there. Good thing about norton though is every year norton offers their users to subscribe next year for free. Watch staples and other computer related companys for this offer.

Do you mean anti-virus? There are tons of them out there that you can get. Eventually they will expire, but they do that so that you can get the newer versions. I use AVG Anti-Virus.

There you can download the anti-virus program, was well as the anti-spyware program. The only drawback to the anti-spyware program is that the real-time protection expires after 30 days. You can still use the program to search, but i won't provide real-time protection like the antivirus program does.

As far as a virus scanner, AVG is very good. Absolutely free, automatically updates and never expires.

try avast home edition it works great for searching and killing viruses/trojans! you can do a "boot-scan" with avast works every time!!! and it all so has a "p2p shield" so it scans all the files you download with p2p programs!!( like limewire, utorrent etc.) and its free!!
