i think that i came up with a great idea: to put movies on usb plug- ins for your tv instead of disc players. do you think that the idea of that would sell; and then everyone would just have to buy a tv in the future that would have a usb port for their movies.

There are already people working on this type of medium. Well, they are working on it with flash memory using a different interface than USB.
Currently the price of flash memory is much more than a DVD so it is not cost effective.
If I could suggest something... Next time you think you have an idea that nobody else has, you shouldn't post it on the internet for everyone to see. What if it is a legitimate idea and someone else takes it as their own and gets it patented? Food for thought.

the production price of usb flash drives is considerably more than it is to produce a plastic cd...
it would be too expensive...
