Hello,
I have a second job. It's a part time job. I'm NOT self employed, I have a contract for partime/overtime.
The issue is that this job is 100% made from my home, through the internet. Can I deduce some expenses as: internet cost, new PC purchased, % of my rent from my income tax?
Thanks

If you're not self employed, then I'm assuming that payroll deductions are being taken from your pay and you will receive a T4.

In that case you would need to receive form T2200 Declaration of Conditions of Employment from your employer.

As an employee (other then a commissioned sales person) you can deduct a % of your rent (Sq Ft of workspace / total Sq Ft of home). You cannot deduct the cost of the computer or any Capital Cost Allowance from the purchase. The internet is a bit of a grey area, but I would deduct a portion of it equivalent of what you think the work usage is compared to the total usage.

Hope that helps. I noticed you have a lot of questions, and would suggest you see an accountant to help you out this year.

Cheers.
