Poll. What Attracts more a Vegetable Garden or a Flower Garden? And why do you think/know this..

I can't choose one over the other. I do both. There are also benefits to planting certain flowers around veggie plants, they repel certain bad insets. There are also many edible flowers that I use in the summer.

Vegetable gardens tend to lower property values.

Flowers tend to increase the aesthetic of a property and increase its value.

Personally I prefer a vegetable garden, but people seem to think that working the land causes it to down in value.

RScottI'm going to circumvent a little and tell you to plant both together. Make this garden a study of "companion planting" there are many sources touting best companions or you can experiment with your plants and see what happens. I get more enjoyment from my garden when I can pick and eat a strawberry and smell a rose at the same time.

vegetable garden - you pick your own vegetables and save money. Besides its nice to look at something that grows that you've taken care of. ;-)

If your going to invest the time, get something out of it. You can at least eat the vegetables.

flowers are pretty and smell nice but with veg you can eat tastier fresh home grown veg
