In the US, they consider themselves to hold a doctorate. A Doctor of Chiropractic degree and so they call themselves doctors.

A piece of paper attesting to the fact that the holder has completed a course of study at a college of chiropractic. It purports to legitimize this form of quackery.

I believe it is 3 or 4 years past a BS degree.
