I use Quicken (2000 version). This program automatically reminds me of the bills before they need to be paid - as far in advance as I set it to. It is easy to check what's due, then print all of the checks at once (you need to buy checks for your printer).

Recently, I've set up as many bills as possible for automatic billing, directly from my checking account or credit card. Now, the cable, telephone, electricity, tolls, dry cleaning - you name it - is paid automatically - and always on time - without me having to do anything at all. I just log into the sites every now and then to make sure everything is still going fine, and I'm all set. Go to the web site for each of your bills and they will tell you if they offer this, and if so how to set it up.

You can have your bills electronically deducted from your bank account on a specified day of the month, for those who have problems staying organized this allows the creditor to do it for you. Many utilities also give you the option of receiving your statement on paper or electronically. When you sign up, it would be through the creditors website, this gives you internet access to view your bill as you need to.
