I'm 13 years old and I really want to try modeling. I've emailed many magazines but most say to get an agency first. So I'm just wondering by the look of my picture, If you think I can really do it.

As with any business in the entertainment industry, modeling is just as difficult and frustrating to get into.
Unless your one of the lucky ones who happen to be in the right place at the right time and are approached by a scout for an agency or scouting agency, then you're going to have to do the hard work yourself. If your interested in working with a major agency you have to be willing and able to travel out of state unless there is something local. Most times you are going to have to present a portfolio to the agency. Portfolios aren't cheap as most professional photographers charge per hour and per picture. Unless you know how to do makeup and hair, those factors add up as well.
If you do happen to go through with this, expect to be rejected anywheres from one to a numerous amount of times. Most agencies are picky and have different expectations of who they choose. Some agencies might want someone who looks more fashion than commercial. Someone might be turned down because their to short, to old, to young...the list just goes on. I was asked to come into Wilhelmina one time a while back and unfortunately, they turned be down because they felt that I wasn't "motivated enough" for modeling.
As for your look? I can't really say because its just the one picture. From what I saw though, I think you could...but for commercial work.
Please be aware of all the scammers out there to. Most people claim to be "scouts" or working with agencies to try to get money out of hopefuls. As Tyra Banks stresses, a legitimate agency will never ask the model for money upfront. All the money they get from that model comes from the jobs they get. To check in with an agency, try looking them up in the Better Business Bureau. They offer reliable reports and resource information for consumers and businesses.
To start off, why not try asking maybe a department store such as Macy's, Dillards, etc. about doing catalog work for them and how to go about doing it. Good Luck =o)

I am a model myself..
It took me 6 years to get one picture in one magazine..
It is an incredibly hard industry and people can be terribley mean!!! You look like you have the potential and want but you definetley need to learn how to use it. Take modeling lessons near by and get an agent, and a manager. My manger is my mom and my agent is John Runkley. Good Luck, and afollow your dreams and heart!

Yes, probably.
But you'll need to figure out what KIND of modeling you want to do.
In the meantime, I'd suggest that you invest in a professional hairstylist, make-up artist and photographer.
Spend the day getting your hair & face done, then shoot the photos for your portfolio.
p.s. - you look pretty good for "94 years old"!!!!

Sure.. you could do it. go to tyra banks website and see what are the must haves to be a model. Too many bogus agencies out there.

well it doesnt hurt to try....i wanna do the same thing as you and i wonder if i would make it or not...but i think you can...are you tryin any websites to help you look for any agencies?? if not you can try supermodelscouts.com

umm, maybe. i'd only bother if you're exceptionally tall and slim, and your actuly good at modeling. if so, look for an agancy, DONT GET SCAMMED.
